Tender description

This project is for the development and delivery of a housing estate procurement strategy to support Leeds Building Service’s (LBS) direct workforce, replacing the current external contracts which fall under the ‘housing subcontractor frameworks’. These arrangements currently provide coverage through specific elemental trade contracts and Leeds Building Services are now looking to bring these elements together for the housing estate portfolio of works. To ensure delivery of works required to other Council departments, LBS subcontract out certain elements of work. Works are subcontracted where LBS does not have the direct labour resources to carry out the works internally, and generally these works are to cover fluctuations in resource levels. LBS Housing portfolio works includes maintenance, responsive repairs and planned works to around 31 000 council properties spread across the South and East of Leeds. Leeds Building Services (LBS) are seeking to appoint up to 9 subcontractors to a framework, to deliver a range of multi-trade works. Subcontractors will be required to undertake a variety of works in isolation to individual properties, or multiple items to individual properties. Works in both residential properties tenanted and untenanted (void) properties are included which could consist of minor repairs through to full home improvements. Leeds Building Services is seeking to appoint up to 9 subcontractors to a framework. The framework will then be used to delivery a range of multi-trade works to residential properties in Leeds.
