Provision of a service concession for a coffee facility at John Roberts Square

Tender description

Waterford City and County Council are inviting proposals from interested parties to provide a service concession involving the design, installation and operate a coffee facility at John Roberts Square, for the sale of hot and cold beverages, snacks and confectionary. The proposed facility will be located in the area shown on appendix 5. The facility can take the form of a temporary structure or a mobile unit. The Contracting Authority may consider other venues in the future for a similar facility. John Roberts Square is located at the retail heart of Waterford City centre and experiences significant footfall on a daily basis. A number of major high street retailers are located in close proximity to this location including Penneys, Argos, Clarks, Pandora, Eir, Car Phone Warehouse, Boots, Skechers, Footlocker, Lifestyle Sports and others. Waterford Council animates the space with a year round programme of festivals including Winterval, Harvest Festival, Spraoi and Summer in the City. In addition, Waterford Council provides free wifi in the city centre all of which contribute to an increased dwell time by visitors to the city centre. The term of this service concession shall be for a 4 year period
