Tender description

The Scottish Government is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to undertake data collection for the Growing Up in Scotland study. The Growing Up in Scotland study is a longitudinal study following a cohort of children born in 2004/5 and their families since the children were around 10 months old. The study started in 2005 and the last sweep of fieldwork under the current contract takes place during 2019/2020 when the cohort members are around 14 years old. Information about the study is available at https://growingupinscotland.org.uk/ There is a requirement to commission the next 2 sweeps of data collection which are likely to take place in 2021/22 and 2024/25. The contract will cover the development of data collection instruments, delivery of fieldwork, the production of cleaned and documented data sets and associated engagement activity with respondents and stakeholders. The Scottish Government is seeking to procure the next 2 sweeps (sweeps 11 and 12) of the Growing Up in Scotland study. The contract will consist of 2 phases. The initial period of the contract (from November 2020 to December 2023) will cover Sweep 11. The second (and optional) phase would cover Sweep 12 and run to February 2026.
