Tender description
Background: UCL is committed to ensuring that students receive a high quality education. A systematic approach to gathering the views of our students enables UCL to collate high quality, meaningful data which can be used to improve the student experience. Currently, departments use a variety of systems to survey students about each taught module, often requiring significant administration resource. Using an appropriate system for managing and processing the data associated with such surveys will allow UCL to harmonise our approach, increasing the quality of information available and allowing the comparison of results across a variety of metrics. This will enable UCL to support departments in their efforts to respond to student feedback, improve satisfaction, and reduce the burden of co-ordinating this feedback from departments. This process provides an opportunity to review how UCL approaches module evaluation, through the ability to draw on examples of good practice to draw out useful insights and create an ongoing dialogue with our student community. This work is also part of the 2021 commitment under the UCL Education Strategy. UCL's Aims: The main aim of the project is to deliver a new approach to managing student module evaluation surveys, either by facilitating online surveys, or by supporting paper-based surveys that are analysed externally. In both cases, departments will retain flexibility to tailor their surveys against a standard UCL template, improving management information about teaching quality and student satisfaction whilst retaining local ownership of the process. The project aims to reduce departmental admin burden and disparity in the way module evaluation is carried out across the UCL campus, and to identify where we might target improvements, provide support where needed and share areas of best practice to continuously improve the student experience. Additional information: The process will be managed via our Intend system. The link to Intend is here https://in-tendhost.co.uk/ucl/. If your company is not registered on Intend you will need to create an account via the link above so that you can search for and attach yourself to the project in order to participate. Note, that ALL other queries or correspondence must be sent via Intend.
