Repair and maintenance services of building installations

Tender description

The University wishes to appoint an experienced building contractor to implement a Measured term contract (MTC) for building, mechanical and electrical works and maintenance services throughout the entire University campus. The form of contract will be the JCT standard form of measured term contract 2016 Edition, incorporating adaption schedule for Northern Ireland — PSA schedule of rates for building works, 11th Edition 2015, — PSA schedule of rates for electrical services, 7th Edition 2016, — PSA schedule of rates for mechanical services 7th Edition 2016. The scope of work associated with this contract relates to individual projects up to a value of 50 000 GBP and does not include planned maintenance, which will be carried out by University maintenance staff or other external contractors. The University also has separate contracts in place for various specialist maintenance activities including, but not limited to, lifts, air conditioning, fire alarms, automated doors, gas boilers and asbestos removal. The scope of work associated with this contract relates to individual projects up to a value of 50 000 GBP and does not include planned maintenance, which will be carried out by University maintenance staff or other external contractors.
