Pre Market Engagement for a Centralised Key Management Solution

Leicester City Council is considering options for a new integrated electronic key management safe system, linked to the integrated digital technology network, to better control access to Leicester City Council buildings and sites, vehicles and small items of property and provide digital information about use and control of its use in an automated format. This will be a program primarily aimed at the Corporate Estate and will give benefits to the Public in that greater efficiencies in operation can be attained, achieving operational cost savings. The proposed operation of keys can be pre-booked, approved and controlled through digital technology. It needs to replace the current position where keys are kept in an ad-hoc fashion in CLABs in filing cabinets and drawers, in various small safes or in the possession of individual members of staff.We are interested in understanding the market, and whether vendors can supply all (our preferred option) or one of the components we are looking to replace. We are not averse to using different solutions for each of these requirements but would prefer it was channelled through the same provider. Keywords: Key Management
