Tender description

This commission requires the provision of a pilot series of one day (7 hours) face-to-face workshops across four topic areas. The following provides an overview of the workshop topics that would be expected to be delivered as part of the Social Enterprise Workshop Series: • Finance and Trading for Social Enterprise o Understanding Legal Structures o Specific trading and financial regulations o Understanding pricing and value Understanding gift aid o Generating a surplus • Unlocking Social Investment o What is social investment and what is it used for? o pros and cons of the different types of social finance available o Becoming Investment Ready • HR and Volunteer Management o Succession planning, recruiting and managing volunteers, handling difficult conversations, improving performance management o Getting more out of your partnerships with stakeholders o Recruiting and supporting trustees • Valuing and Evidencing Impact o Why and how do you measure social value? o Stakeholder engagement o Social Return on Investment o Benchmarking with others The HBGH Programme Management Team shall be responsible for registering the event on Eventbrite and for managing the bookings. They shall also provide the Service Provider with a pre-populated sign-in sheet for delegates that have booked to attend, in advance of the event. The HBGH Team shall also undertake a range of marketing activities to promote the workshops / masterclasses to potential beneficiaries. For each workshop / masterclass, the successful Service Provider shall be required to do the following as part of each workshop: • Provide details of the workshop content to the HBGH Programme Management Team to enable the promotion of the event on Eventbrite and through other channels • Support the Programme Team with the marketing of the workshop to their networks and databases • Provide staff to manage the set-up of the room, signing-in process and running of the workshop • Provide an expert speaker(s) / facilitator to deliver the required Workshop topic • Provide all relevant supporting documents and materials for participants • Gather participant feedback / evaluation forms • Provide a brief workshop effectiveness report to inform ongoing planning A minimum number of participants per workshop shall be set at 8 people, though this can be reviewed in exceptional circumstances. The number of participants booked to attend shall be reviewed 10 days prior to the workshop date and the decision taken as to whether there are sufficient numbers to make the event viable. The HBGH Programme team shall confirm with the Service Provider whether there are sufficient numbers to run and if not, shall discuss the potential to postpone the workshop to a future date.
