Tender description

Contract for the provision of the following goods, service and works: — to design, supply and install cremator equipment for the new Plymouth Bereavement Centre anticipated to open early in 2021, — to become part of the team delivering this service by providing maintenance support for the new equipment for the next 15 years, — to decommission and remove the existing cremator equipment at Plymouth’s 2 existing crematorium sites. The contract will be awarded to a single supplier. However due to the mixed nature of the procurement (i.e. contains elements of goods, services and works) different sets of terms and conditions and different contract durations will govern the different elements as follows: NEC4 supply short contract Means the provision of design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of cremation equipment for the Plymouth Bereavement Centre — commencing from contract award and expiring upon satisfactory installation. N.B: anticipated completion date of April 2021 which allow for 12-24 month installation period Decommission and removal of existing cremators and ancillary equipment at 2 existing crematoria within Plymouth (Weston Mills and Efford) — commencing following the successful installation and commissioning of the equipment at the new Plymouth Bereavement Centre N.B: anticipated completion date of 6 months following satisfactory installation of the new cremation equipment at the Plymouth Bereavement Centre NEC4 term service short contract Maintenance of cremation equipment at the new Plymouth Bereavement Centre — commencing from the agreed handover date for 15 years.
