Repair and maintenance services of electrical building installations

Tender description

Term contract for the electrical periodic inspection and testing of existing domestic electrical installations included tenanted properties, the Co-operatives office premises and common closes. The works will also include electrical repairs for certain faults identified during the testing process. The works may also include: — rewiring properties, — void property electrical inspections, — installation of radio linked smoke alarms and heat detectors, — periodic electrical inspection and certification of the Co-operatives office premises, — periodic appliance testing of office equipment. The contract is for the electrical periodic inspection and testing of existing domestic electrical installations included tenanted properties and common closes to properties owned/managed by Easthall Park Housing Co-operative (the Co-operative). The estimated annual value of the contract is approximately 35 000 GBP excluding VAT per annum. The contract will initially run for a period of 3 years with the option for renewal, at the sole discretion of the Co-operative, for an extension of up to a further 2 years, subject to satisfactory reviews based upon performance and quality of service and delivery. The maximum duration of the contract is therefore 5 years. The Co-operative has 695 tenanted properties under its control and the Co-operatives office premises/community facility will be incorporated into the contract. The successful contractor will be required to ensure that their organisational structure, labour and plant resources enable them to perform the contract, including meeting the minimum target response times for all repairs.
