The Council has a requirement for the shipment of waste and recyclable materials from facilities on the Mainland of Orkney to various locations in the central belt of Scotland. The contractor will be required to provide articulated trailers for loading of ‘waste materials for recycling’ in baled, bagged, palletised or loose format by OIC. These materials will be loaded by OIC at its facilities, located within 6 miles of Kirkwall on the Orkney Mainland. The contractor will subsequently transfer full trailers for disposal or recycling to facilities designated by OIC, typically located in Perth and the ‘Central belt’ of Scotland.
