Tender description

This is a prior information notice (PIN) in relation to the delivery of a bundle of exchequer funded primary and post-primary school building projects for the Department of Education and Skills (Contracting Authority). The purpose of this PIN is to inform the market of the Department’s anticipated requirement. The Department’s current procurement strategy anticipates setting up 2 separate frameworks: 1 focussed on bundles of large-scale projects and 1 focussed on bundles of smaller to medium sized projects. This current procurement strategy is designed to: (a) have frameworks in place that reflect the different scale of projects being delivered; and (b) attract increased interest and competition across the construction sector. It is anticipated that 2 individual frameworks will be formed at this stage.
