Tender description

Tenders are sought for the Supply and installation of a Wire EDM Machine and supporting equipment. The System must be capable of holding our larger AM Build Plates. Typical maximum work size will be 250mm (X Axis) x 320mm (Y Axis) x 250mm in the Z Axis. In certain cases, it will be a requirement to perform angular cuts (U,V Axis) to a maximum of 30°. The range of AM Build materials (and plates) will be Titanium Ti6Al4V, Stainless Steel 316, Maraging Steel (M300), Cobalt Chrome, Aluminium, Magnesium, Copper, Tungsten (Pure form). The system must be capable of cutting all these material types without the need for additional equipment (other than specialised consumables. E.g Coated wires). To supply any required subsystems and required Wire Path processing software (CAM Package). To ensure that the system is suitable for installation in the available space at WIT. To provide adequate on-site training and remote support in all aspects of the Wire EDM Process from start-to-finish, including design for the process, fixture handling, work holding and health and safety. Be aware of the possibilities and limitations of the Wire EDM process.
