Engineering design services

Tender description

To provide general engineering design and technical assurance services to cover the requirements of a number of business areas and multi disciplines. See Section II 2.4) for more detail. This is for the provision of general engineering design services for the following business areas, Renewables (Onshore and Offshore Wind, Hydro), Thermal Energy (Waste to Energy, CCGT, Gas Storage), Networks, Transmission (voltages of 132, 275 and 400 kV). Typical requirements will be: — drafting design packages based on detailed scopes and functional design, — design assurance, — feed studies, — integrate design resources into project teams to deliver packages of work often at short notice and on varying time periods. Note this will not be on a one day rate basis, — able to offer design capabilities on wide range of disciplines e.g. civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, building, architectural, design etc. and all design requirements associated with the energy industry. There will be a large variation in terms of the design requirements in terms of quantity, size and cost. It is anticipated the providers will be able offer services in association with the above.
