Tender description
Oldham Borough Council (“the Council”) intends to create a Construction and Highway Works and Services Framework (CHWSF) for the provision of responsive and planned building repairs and construction services and highway works. This Framework is being set up for Oldham Council and the Councils Strategic Partner, Unity Partnership: to deliver construction and highway works and services to all internal departments and ancillary organisations. The overall objective of the framework is to support the Council to deliver its revenue and capital programmes. The aim of this lot is to accommodate Responsive and Minor Roofing Works to Schools, Council Buildings and Sites of Oldham Council portfolio managed by Unity Partnership. The aim of this lot is to accommodate Building Repairs & Maintenance – Responsive & Minor Works to Schools, Council Buildings and Sites of Oldham Council portfolio managed by Unity Partnership. The aim of this lot is to accommodate the testing, servicing and responsive repairs to mechanical plant and systems and associated equipment within the estate managed by The Unity Partnership. The aim of this lot is to accommodate the testing, servicing and responsive repairs of electrical systems and associated equipment within the estate managed by The Unity Partnership. This includes servicing of emergency lighting installations, appliance testing and fixed installations. This framework covers works for the removal and remediation of asbestos containing materials within Oldham Council establishments. Contractors will work to all current and future health and safety legislation. The Contractors will be required to carry out asbestos removals, encapsulation, and associated works where appropriate, under fully controlled or semi-controlled conditions of licensed and non-licensed works. The aim of this lot is to accommodate the testing, servicing and responsive repairs to Lifts and Hoists. The Framework calls for water quality services for the control of Legionella as well as other coliforms and biofilms. Services include risk assessment, sampling and subsequent reporting, treatment, and maintenance of water systems compliant with current legislation and, in particular, the HSE Legionnaires’ disease Approved Code of Practice (L8) HSG274. The aim of this lot is to accommodate the testing, servicing and responsive repairs to fire alarm systems and associated equipment within the estate managed by The Unity Partnership. The aim of this lot is to accommodate the testing, servicing and responsive repairs to intruder alarm systems, access control and closed circuit television systems within the estate managed by The Unity Partnership. To provide minor civil engineering construction services: • Kerbing, footway construction and paving; • Carriageway/footway construction; • Installation of street furniture; • Highway drainage; • Underground service ducts; • Minor highway alignment alterations; • Public realm high quality paving; • Ancillary works; • Liaison with Stakeholders. To provide minor civil engineering services relating to Oldham Council’s highway structures, drainage systems, culverts and watercourses. To provide road marking, lining, road stud and anti-skid (hot and cold applied) services to Oldham Council's adopted highway network or otherwise specified. The aim of this lot is to accommodate Minor Works projects (Building Repairs/Maintenance/New Build/Extensions/Refurbishment) to Schools, Council Buildings and Sites of Oldham Council portfolio managed by Unity Partnership. The aim of this lot is to accommodate the testing, servicing and responsive repair of roller shutters and automatic doors within the estate managed by The Unity Partnership. The aim of this lot is to accommodate the testing, servicing and responsive repairs to lightning protection systems and associated equipment within the estate managed by The Unity Partnership. The aim of this lot is to accommodate Major Planned Roofing Work projects of varying size, specifications and guarantee requirements to Schools, Council Buildings and Sites of Oldham Council portfolio managed by Unity Partnership. Provide cold milling (planing) to defined areas of Oldham Council's adopted highway, unless otherwise specified and remove spoil to designated tip for recycling or use by the Overseeing Organisation; Provide tack coat, ironwork adjustment and carriageway preparation works in advance of resurfacing works as specified on a scheme by scheme basis; Implement resurfacing works in accordance with the Overseeing Organisations requirements and current guidelines, standards and suppliers material specification; Provide road marking and lining as required by the Overseeing Organisation, where applicable including loop cutting service. Provide surface dressing of Oldham Council's adopted highway, unless otherwise specified and remove spoil to designated tip for recycling or use by the Overseeing Organisation; Provide tack coat, ironwork adjustment and carriageway preparation works in advance and/or post resurfacing works as specified on a scheme by scheme basis; Implement surface dressing works in accordance with the Overseeing Organisations requirements and current guidelines, standards and suppliers material specification; Interface with road marking and lining Contractor(s) as required by the Overseeing Organisation including loop cutting service. To provide major civil engineering services relating to Oldham Council’s highway structures and bridges. Typical works will involve demolition of existing bridge structures and/or major bridge rehabilitation works; construction of new retaining structures and/or major rehabilitation works to existing; ground investigations, geotechnical investigations and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) on projects. To provide major civil engineering services relating to Oldham Council’s highway drainage systems, culverts and watercourses. The aim of this lot is to accommodate Groundworks & Landscaping works to Schools, Council Buildings and Sites of Oldham Council portfolio managed by Unity Partnership. This framework covers works for the supply, testing, inspection and repair of fire extinguishing installations and equipment, including the provision of fire safety signage where required within Oldham Council establishments. Contractors will work to all current and future health and safety legislation. The aim of this lot is to accommodate the testing, servicing and responsive repairs to fire suppression systems within the estate managed by The Unity Partnership.
