Tender description

Single Party Framework Agreement for the provision of services to design and develop a 3D Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality Model of the Dublin Docklands Strategic Development Zone and wider environs. This competition relates to the award of a framework for services for the design and development of a 3-Dimensional Virtual City Model of the Dublin Docklands Strategic Development Zone that will be used in planning, design, community engagement and gaming contexts. There is also the potential to extend the model to cover the Poolbeg SDZ and Dublin Port at a later stage, and we would be looking for the Tenderer to suggest rates for the provision of ongoing maintenance and updates to the model in-line with these requirements. A contract for services for the design and development of a 3-Dimensional Virtual City Model of the Dublin Docklands Strategic Development Zone that will be used in planning, design, maintenance, community engagement and gaming contexts. As the intention is to use this model as a planning tool, the model must be highly spatially accurate and Geo-referenced to the ITM Coordinate System. An accuracy level (deviation level) to 150mm is required, though it is up to the Tenderer to determine what combination of surveying techniques they employ to reach this level of accuracy. In addition, the model should be created in a software suite that supports both reading and writing of data in multiple file formats, including those which can be translated for easy use in Augmented and Virtual Reality Engines, for example as FBX or DFX files. The model to be completed within 2 to 4 months of award decision.
