Tender description

This is a call to competition by IE for the procurement of the air bags and assemblies that are fitted to vehicles in IE’s rail fleet and include original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Tokyu Car, CAF and Linke Hofman Busch. Where ‘air bags’ are referred to it will be in conjunction with the rubber air bag bellows component which when supplied can be fitted into an assembly by IE as a part of the maintenance cycle. Air bag and air bag assemblies are classified as safety critical components and compliance with CME-SMS-009, ‘Approval for Supplier of Safety Critical Equipment’ is required.
