Tender description

The Accessible Oldham Scheme is a package of projects to transform the accessibility and connectivity to and around Oldham Town Centre, by all modes as part of an ambitious vision and development strategy for investment in the town centre. The programme includes improvements to key trade roads including improved cycle and pedestrian links, junction improvements, public realm enhancements, upgraded signing and extended parking provisions are planned. These measures will improve access to key development sites. The number and scale of the projects to be delivered under Accessible Oldham will be subject to the funding secured. The Accessible Oldham programme comprises multiple projects of varying size and complexity carried out over a 4 year construction programme, incorporating high quality urban infrastructure works, natural paving and landscaping works. Town Centre works will impact significantly on businesses, shoppers and pedestrians, requiring the provision of a higher standard of pedestrian and traffic management.
