Tender description

The London Borough of Hounslow is seeking a cashless parking provider to supply an alternative payment channel for all on and off street parking locations where pay and display or meter parking is or was the traditional mode of payment. The supplier’s system will be a replacement for the current solution which expires in December 2019. The road network within the London Borough of Hounslow is typical of urban London Local Authorities, in that it is a mix of busy high street areas such as Hounslow, Chiswick and Feltham town centres, with large residential areas surrounding them. The town centres are linked by a network of trunk and secondary roads which are under mixed control of London Borough of Hounslow and other agencies. The Borough has an extensive network of controlled parking zones and other parking restrictions that operate over a range of days and hours, depending on local pressures on kerb space, traffic flow and safety requirements. Further details of parking within Hounslow are available on the Council's website at www.hounslow.gov.uk The Council requires a partner organisation who will facilitate the payment of parking related fees and charges connected to the parking controls referred to below: (a) ‘Paid for Parking’ (cashless P and D display); (b) parking fines (PCNs); (c) coin/cash alternate payment channel to kerbside pay and display machines and penalty charge notices.
