Expression of Interest to Tender for Aids and Adaptations Works

Tender description

Applicants are invited to express an interest in tendering for Aids and Adaptations works to Shropshire Council owned properties in the North and West of Shropshire for an initial period of two years, with the potential to extend for a further year, commencing in January 2020. Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing manage a stock of approx. 4100 dwellings for Shropshire Council. Properties are tenanted, sheltered and supported housing stock throughout the rural towns and villages in and around Bridgnorth and Oswestry. This contract will consist of providing primarily bathroom facilities to properties to enable independent living. Other works may include grab rails, kitchen modifications and ramps to front doors. Works can also include level access showers and installation of stair-lifts. The basis of the tender submission, schedule of works and the subsequent measuring of the contract period with KPI's and the appraisal of the tender will be from the NHF version 7.1 suite of documents. We will utilise the JCT Measured Term Contract with the successful tender to achieve the initial 2 +1 year period of works to an estimated value up to £250,000 per annum. There is an option for the contract to be split into the Oswestry and Bridgnorth areas and accordingly applicants should state their preference if this option appeals. There are equal numbers of properties in each area. This will be a single stage tender process.
