Tender description

East Kent Housing Limited (EKH) is an 'arms-length management organisation' (ALMO) that was setup, and is owned by, Dover District Council, Canterbury City Council, Shepway District Council and Thanet District Council to manage their respective council social housing services. The organisation is run by an independent management board, which includes tenants, independent members and councillors, but remains accountable through a 30 year contract with the four councils. Canterbury City Council for the purpose of this procurement process is undertaking a joint procurement exercise with Thanet District Council. The contract(s) will be awarded to a single supplier who will enter into contract with each Council individually, based on the Tender submitted (see evaluation for further information). The specific requirements for the above are detailed in the Specification - APPENDIX A. It should be noted that by submitting a Tender, you confirm that you understand and can meet these requirements. It is advised that the Contractor visits the premises concerned before submitting their quotation, as no claim will be recognized on the ground of want of knowledge of the property or as to the nature of the works required to be executed or of general site conditions. Any site visit will be unaccompanied by East Kent Housing. The Contract is anticipated to commence November 2019 and will continue for a period of 6 months unless terminated in accordance with the Conditions of the Contract. Additional information: Instructions to Suppliers: Expressions of interest will only be accepted via the Kent Business Portal (www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk). Note that in order to successfully submit your interest you will first need to register for an account on the portal. After registration is complete and you've received your login details you should return to the advert for the opportunity and express your interest. You will then receive an email giving you a link to the documentation provided and be able to access the tender documents. The tender documents are required to be completed and submitted electronically via the Kent Business Portal by no later than 12:00 on Tuesday 1 October 2019.
