Investor/Company Background Check Service

Tender description

The Growth Capital team requires a supplier to carry out background checks on international investors in order to introduce international investors to UK investment opportunities. These background checks will allow us to continue working with these investors whilst managing risk and upholding Civil Service standards. The objective of this procurement is to support the Growth Capital team in bringing investment into the UK whilst ensuring that this investment is from economically and politically reputable sources. The checks should provide an independent assessment of individual investors, ensuring that the programme's resources are focused on reputable investors who will add value to the UK economy. This not only protects HMG's reputation by significantly reducing the risk of working with questionable investors, but also supports the economic transparency of the UK, ensuring money subject to scrutiny is not brought into the UK by accident through Government-led investment deals. Our current estimations are that the budget for this requirement will be between £90,000 and £100,000.
