Tender description

Due to on-going updating training requirements David MacBrayne HR (UK) Ltd require to source and award a suitable training provider a contract to deliver the following STCW updating training. 1) Personal survival techniques; 2) Fire prevention and fire fighting; 3) Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue; 4) Proficiency in fast rescue boats; 5) Advanced fire fighting. Due to significant changes to the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping Act STCW 1978/95/2010, seafarers are required, every 5 years, to provide evidence of having maintained the required standards of competence to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities regarding emergency, occupational safety and survival functions. These new STCW 2010 Manila amendments are now in force and seafarers must provide documentary evidence of updating training in the preceding five years from 1.1.2017.
