CP1595-18 Non Agency Adoption

Tender description

The aim of the Procurement process is to award a contract for Non Agency Adoption Services across the Adopt South West footprint (Devon County Council, Somerset County Council, Plymouth Council and Torbay Council.) The contract duration will be 36 months from the 1st September 2019 with the option to extend for a further three periods of 12 months. The indicative budget for the contract will be £249,480 DCC are seeking to commission a service to deliver the processing of non-agency adoption applications and specifically the processes associated with preparing the Annex A report for the Court. DCC will expect the provider of the service to improve performance in meeting the needs of children and prospective adopters through non-agency adoption. Most especially improving upon the time that children and adopters have to wait from initial enquiry, through the assessment process, in order to achieve improved outcomes for children and families. There may be other legal avenues whereby childrens needs can be better met, these will be explored with families throughout the process in order to ensure children and young people are given stability through the most appropriate means.
