Tender description

Bury Architectural Services are seeking competitive tenders from competent and experienced TEAM BMI / Icopal and IMA contractors to deliver the above scheme. The works consist of phase one re-roofing of the main school and associated items ( roof lights, guttering etc). The re-roofing will involve the inclusion of insulation to bring the school roof to a better than the current Building Regulation. Although the tender is going out on the chest system via open tender - only contractors who are TEAM BMI / Icopal and IMA contractors will be considered. No contractor stating that they will undertake BMI/ Icopal training and membership of the IMA if successful will be NOT be considered. Only contractors with an office / yard within a travel distance of one hour will be considered for this tender because of call out purposes involved with it. All tendering contractors are to have an office /workshop base located no more than one hour away for the purpose of emergency call-outs. N.B The contractor’s office administration centre / workshop is not to be a postal box address. The local authority will be ( if required) permitted to verify the validity of contractors office / workshop premises prior to the contractor being appointed and the travelling time distance to the site. Approved BMI/ Icopal products, installation teams and guarantees have formed part of previous roofing installations on this site. In the interests of future maintenance and insurance compliance, BMI / Icopal products will be procured for this phase.
