Supply and Installation of Outdoor Water Fonts

South Dublin County Council, through the provision of public water drinking fonts aims to improve the quality of, and access to, drinking water for everyone in the public realm. The aim is in line with the EU’s focus for a national reduction in consumption of single use plastic bottles. Our project will concentrate on places where people typically require regular rehydration, but do not readily have access to fresh water. These places typically see the public bring single use plastic bottles as a means of hydration. South Dublin County Council are seeking submissions from interested businesses for the supply and installation of such outdoor water fonts. The access to and collection of data from the water fonts is important for the local authority for use in our Climate Change Action Plan. Price, Robustness, Aesthetics and use of renewable resources will all be considered before nominating the successful tenderer.
