Tender description
The Home Office seeks to procure research services to investigate responsible recruitment within the rubber manufacturing industry in Malaysia that produces rubber gloves and condoms bought by government supply-chains. A tender is being launched on Monday 19th August through the Crown Commercial Service tenders portal: https://gpsesourcing.cabinetoffice.gov.uk. This tender opportunity closes at 2pm on 30th August 2019. In order to participate in this event: 1. Your organisation needs to be registered to the Crown Commercial Service portal. Instructions append the homepage detailed in the link. 2. Once registered, please express interest to be included in this opportunity by emailing Chris Penny (chris.penny1@homeoffice.gov.uk). Expressions of interest to participate will be accepted up until midday Friday 23rd August. The maximum budget for this project is £30,000 ex VAT. Expressions of interest are welcome from organisations or consortia who can demonstrate some or all of the following: (i) expertise or direct access to expertise in the field of modern slavery and/ or responsible recruitment research; (ii) access to sufficient information/ data to enable a rapid response; (iii) access to existing interviews or user journey mapping insight into migrant worker journeys into the Malaysian rubber industry, or experience of conducting user research in Malaysia, ideally through partnership working with organisations representing the voice of migrant workers; and (iv) expertise in presenting the evidence used to arrive at conclusions that can be usable by non-academic audiences.
