Tender description

The National Nuclear Laboratory seeks to enhance the physical protection system for the facility, including installing a new Automatic access control system (AACS), replacing and augmenting the Intruder detection system (IDS) and installing a new Closed-circuit television system (CCTV) with security lighting. There is a requirement for some reinforcement of existing building structure, such as windows, ceiling voids and structural restrictions to existing access corridors. The scope of Work is summarised for indicative purposes but is not limited to: — ground floor — over 60 potential access points requiring IDS, — Level-1 — over 15 potential access points requiring IDS, — Level-2 — 8 potential access points, — internal structures — requires IDS, — roof voids — requires IDS, — CCTV assessment covering IDS and including security lighting, — Automatic access control system — minimum of 4 AACS portals required with a potential for 2 further portals required scope of work includes scheme design, supply and installation of security enhancements, control systems, commissioning and satisfactory site acceptance test.
