Flat Roof Repair Ringsend

Tender description

Dublin Bus are seeking to select a panel of suitably qualified Main Contractors to invite to tender for a new roof covering to the Administration building at Ringsend Bus Depot. The building known as the Administration Building is a two storey office building of approx. 300m² and is located within the Ringsend Bus Depot, Ringsend. Its construction is a mixture of masonry with a roof made of a concrete deck covered with insulation and a single ply membrane covered with a stone ballast. There are a patchwork of polymeric materials used to patch up holes. The existing roof is flat and leaks in numerous places and is effecting the existing equipment and fabric of the building. The proposed scope of works includes (this is a non-exhaustive list); • Stripping of and safely removing the stone ballast covering the roof. • Stripping of any redundant cables. • Remove edge protection and store safely. • Temporarily relocating existing cables and light fittings. • Temporarily remove solar panel array into safe storage. • Installation of a ‘laid to falls’ insulation throughout. • Installing a new single ply polymeric membrane throughout. • Fabricate and install a new aluminium PPC capping to cover the existing. • Install a new cable containment system. • Install new rainwater outlets • Re-install the solar array system and re-commission. • Re-install edge protection Drawings are attached as an indicative overview of the Project.
