The London Borough of Hackney Children’s and Families Service, is currently in the process of exploring ways in which existing resources can be used to potentially inform a service re-procurement and enhance partnership working in relation to their careers advice service. This service aims to secure high quality careers education advice and guidance to support young people who are not in education training or employment (NEET), and those vulnerable to poor outcomes and who require additional support to make a successful transition post their compulsory education. Hackney Council wishes to consult with providers in relation to the above service and has organised a ‘market engagement’ event to assist in shaping its commissioning process. The market engagement event is scheduled to take place on 12.9.2019, 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Providers will be given the opportunity to not only listen to the Council’s vision, but to contribute to the discussion on how the Council can help with: — proactively developing local knowledge and relationships, Hackney using resources to best support children, families and communities. Spaces are limited and will be offered on a ‘first come, first served’ and provider suitability basis. In addition, interested organisations are requested to complete a questionnaire which will be forwarded to complete once an interest has been expressed in attending the event.
