Supply of 2 loading shovels

Tender description

Waste, mainly municipal waste and street sweepings but also some wood and green waste, is stored prior to transfer by bulk freighters to end destinations for treatment and/or disposal. The waste is loaded onto the bulk freighters by a loading shovel at each WTS. Both loading shovels are currently hired and it is the Council’s intention, through this procurement, to purchase replacements. The scope of the procurement includes: • Purchase of two new wheeled loading shovels • Delivery to Loughborough and Kibworth WTS within ten weeks of the Council order being placed; And the following options for each machine: • Telematics service • Extended Warranty to 5 Years or 5000 Hours • Manufacturer’s Scheduled Servicing to 5000 Hours or 5 years. • Full Breakdown, Repair & Maintenance Service for 5 years or 5000 Hours
