Tender description

The Council are seeking suitably qualified organisations to appoint to a framework for the supply, installation, maintenance, service and repair of stair lifts and specialist lifts to both council and private tenants, private residents, housing associations and care homes. The Council has a statutory obligation to undertake adaptations for disabled and elderly residents of Southend-on-Sea. The Council are seeking suitably qualified organisations to appoint to a framework for the supply, installation, maintenance, service and repair of stair lifts and specialist lifts to both council and private tenants, private residents, housing associations and care homes. The service also includes the removal of stairlifts and/or associated equipment and storing and/or recycling of the equipment as and when required. The framework will provide the residents of Southend-on-Sea in both private and Council properties with scheduled services and repairs including 24 hour call-outs. The Council intends to appoint 3 suppliers to the framework but reserves the right to appoint the number of suppliers as it sees fit and/or to appoint none at all and/or to keep framework suppliers in reserve.
