Tender description

United Utilities is currently undertaking market research/pre-market engagement and would be interested in hearing from suppliers who are able to provide a water meter reading service. United Utilities is inviting interested parties to respond to this periodic indicative notice for the provision of metering reading services. The supplier will be required to read all visually read water meters, as well as all standard AMR meters serving all customers within the boundaries of the United Utilities operating area where the company operates a 100 % read policy. The supplier will be required to attempt to read all meters in accordance with the prescribed meter read frequencies. The requirements are supported by a suite of service levels. Additionally, the supplier must observe the reporting requirements aligned with a performance schedule. In addition to cyclic reading, the supplier will be required to provide a non-cyclic data collection service (data collection request, DCR) for household customers in the company’s geographic area. The supplier will also be required to provide an IT system to support the meter reading activity. Please can you advise the IT System currently used in the delivery of your services. For the avoidance of doubt, this is a request for information/pre-market engagement exercise.
