Diabetic Eye Screening Wales are looking to invite expressions of interest at this stage for a retinal screening system. Diabetic Eye Screening Wales is undertaking a programme of modernisation with the purpose of enabling the service to meet the challenges of delivering routine retinopathy screening in line with increased diagnoses of diabetes in Wales. To support this, the service is undertaking a review of its current technology capabilities in order to provide a stable service platform. Diabetic Eye Screening Wales are looking for a retinal screening system that has the capability to provide: — patient booking platform and interfacing, — pathway management and failsafe mechanisms, — retinal photography and screening modules, — grading image manipulation tools and clinical management functionality, — interoperability e.g. Welsh National Architecture, — clinic scheduling and planning functionality, — quality assurance management and reporting, — generation of correspondence (invitation and results), — integrated management information reporting tools.
