We have engaged with stakeholders and suppliers in the market regarding data centres, hardware, cloud hosting, data security and networking providers to understand the market and services required. There are providers in this market, but the Data Centre offering is limited especially for the wider public sector. We want to work with an array of suppliers who can provide/some or all of these services and this PIN is to engage with the market and to work with experts in this field to build a suitable easy to access framework. This framework offering is to provide a wide scope of services and solutions to cover all customer scenarios and ensure there is a compliant route to market for the whole of the public sector to ensure data is available and secure. The lot structure is to allow services to be maintained and replaced gradually or indeed support a new build or larger scale project. Our education lot will deal with smaller scale requirements whereas our managed services lot will deal with an fully end to end solution and service. We want to work with an array of suppliers who can provide/some or all of these services and this PIN is to engage with the market to ensure this lot structure reflects the needs of the market and to work with experts in this field to build a suitable easy to access framework.
