Repair and maintenance services of building installations

Tender description

The London Borough of Redbridge is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations in relation to contracts for the provision of planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance services for both Corporate Landlord and Housing departments. There are 3 lots covered by this requirement: — Lot 1: Water System Maintenance – Corporate Landlord, — Lot 2: Water System Maintenance – Housing, — Lot 3: Water Hygiene Testing – Corporate Landlord/Housing. Organisations are permitted to express an interest for any lots for which they consider they are suitably qualified and experienced. Organisations shall be aware that responses to each lot will be evaluated separately. Organisations should be aware that if they bid for lots 1 and/or 2 they are not able to bid for lot 3 and organisations that bid for lot 3 are not able to bid for lots 1 and/or 2. The water hygiene services specification covers the requirements to maintain the assets that have been grouped together to cover the water hygiene and services systems; water sampling, cleaning and chlorination, cold water storage tanks, hot and cold water services (including drinking water), hot water storage vessels, showers and valves, combination taps and thermostatic mixing Valves, plumbed in water dispensers,whirlpool/Spa baths, hydrotherapy pools, water treatment and conditioning, chemical dosing, swimming pool equipment, water flushing saving devices, hand drying systems, ‘Propelair’ high performance w.c. for the Corporate Landlord department. The contractor shall undertake the periodic planned preventative maintenance regimes as directed within SFG20 provided by BESA (the building engineering services association), approved code of practice (L8), the HSE Technical Guidance HSG274 and applicable HTM and manufacturers requirements as a minimum. The water hygiene services specification covers the requirements to maintain the assets that have been grouped together to cover the water hygiene and services systems; water sampling, cleaning and chlorination, cold water storage tanks, hot and cold water services (including drinking water), hot water storage vessels, showers and valves, combination taps and thermostatic mixing valves, plumbed in water dispensers, whirlpool/Spa baths, hydrotherapy pools, water treatment and conditioning, chemical dosing, swimming pool equipment, water flushing saving devices, hand drying systems, ‘Propelair’ high performance w.c. for the Housing department. The contractor shall undertake the periodic planned preventative maintenance regimes as directed within SFG20 provided by BESA (the building engineering services association), approved code of practice (L8), the HSE technical guidance HSG274 and applicable HTM and manufacturers requirements as a minimum. Service visits to undertake the assessments shall be made during ‘normal working hours’ which shall be between 8:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday. Works may be undertaken by the contractor outside of these hours if required, but only where the premises are readily available.
