The full scope of this procurement will subsequently be set out within the Contract Notice and ITT documentation (when read together). This prior information notice is to advertise the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust intention to procure a Framework Agreement in multiple lots with construction contractors capable of carrying out maintenance and minor construction works that may consist within a healthcare environment of new build, refurbishment, improvement, demolition, extension, renovation, strengthening or other works of a similar nature to those stated. Contractors may also be appointed to carry out some design and other consultancy related services in connection with, or as part of construction works. Contractors may also be appointed to carry out some design and other consultancy related services in connection with, or as part of construction works. The proposal is to establish a framework agreement for 4 year duration in order to provide planned maintenance works for the Trust in lots as follows: Lot number planned maintenance lot title: 1 Asbestos removal 2 Roofing 3 Security installations 4 Flooring 5 Demolition 6 Piped medical gases 7 Painting and decoration 8 Ground works, landscaping, surfacing and drainage 9 Fire detection and controls 10 Fire remedial work, fire stopping, fire doors, etc. 11 External Windows, doors and glazing 12 Scaffolding. And the following Minor Capital Works lots to provide construction works and related services: Lot Number Minor Capital Works Lot Title 11 General Contracting 12 Building Services (Mechanical and Electrical) Engineering It is anticipated each planned maintenance lot will be established with a single partner contractor appointed to each. Each minor capital works lot will be established with up to 3 contractors appointed to each. The appointments for contractors to lots under the framework will be established by nature of the scope of works the contractor can undertake and the value and complexity of the works. It is anticipated that the formal OJEU notice and associated tender documents will be issued during the summer of 2019 with a contract commencement by December 2019. Procurement will be via a restricted procedure evaluated by price and quality criteria. The appointed contractors may be asked to submit tenders for, and undertake works and services to all service departments of the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust (the ‘Trust’) or its successor in title in such form as currently exists or may exist in the future. Prospective applicants are advised that the Trust intends to hold a buyer’s day meeting to set out how the framework will be procured and will operate to be held at a time, date and location below. Notice of meet the buyer day: The Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust intends to hold a meet the buyer day for this Framework opportunity. The meeting shall be held on: 16.8.2019 Time: 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 noon (this will be limited to a 1 hour presentation and Q&A, followed by refreshments and networking opportunity). The meeting shall take place at: Seminar Room 1, The Post Grad Centre, Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske, Truro, TR1 3LQ. The meet the buyer day will include details of Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust’s upcoming capital investment programme and how the services procured under this framework will be used to supplement Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trusts capacity to deliver large complex projects.
