The University of Bristol and The National Composites Centre (a wholly owned subsidiary company of the University) have a combined requirement for a range of frameworks covering a range of Works across a range of value bands such as: — general building works, — general mechanical works, — general electrical works, — cleanrooms, — enclosures. Frameworks would range from small maintenance jobs to intermediate works. Values for each framework will be determined in due course but should range from tens to hundreds of thousands per annum dependent on the discipline and value band. We are looking to appoint a range of contractors to each framework to allow competitiveness and capacity while giving all appointees a good chance of receiving work through the framework. It is anticipated (but to be confirmed) that there would be no more than five appointed contractors per discipline and value band. There will be 2 contractor engagement sessions, 1 at the University of Bristol on 31st July, and another at National Composites Centre in early September (exact date to be confirmed) — Contractors may attend either session, or both. The sessions will allow us to present the new frameworks and work with interested contractors to determine the best methods of operation for the frameworks — including, but not limited to: — disciplines and value bands, — pricing method(s), — how to call-off works, — performance monitoring. We are keen to meet with a range of contractors of all sizes to help us to design a framework that is scaled appropriately and will benefit all appointed parties. — if you wish to attend the Contractor Engagement Session (at University of Bristol) on 31st July, please email estates-ecg@bristol.ac.uk and joining instructions will be issued, — if you wish to attend the Contractor Engagement Session (at National Composites Centre) in September, please email Leigh.Jones@nccuk.com and exact date and joining instructions will be issued in due course. Please note that there will be a limit of 2 attendees per contractor. Following the contractor engagement sessions, we would hope to start the tendering processes during September with a view to appointment in early 2020. Frameworks would be appointed for an initial 2 years with the option to extend for an additional 2, 1-year, periods.
