Tender description

West Yorkshire Combined Authority (Combined Authority) is seeking to procure a demand responsive transport service, using phone application-based services and routing algorithms to match vehicles with capacity to users. The West Yorkshire Combined Authority is carrying out a market consultation exercise with bus operators, mobility and technology providers who would be able to run a flexible service within East Leeds. The service is expected to support access from 5 000 new homes to local economic and employment centres, transport hubs, health and education facilities prior to procurement, the Combined Authority wishes to discuss its intentions and assumptions with the market. Consequently, the Combined Authority is holding an supplier event on 15.7.2019 and wishes to invite interested parties to expressions of interest. The information received in this consultation shall enable the Combined Authority to make an informed decision on its requirements, and to inform the Authority with regards to any further procurement. WYCA is expected to commence the process to tender for a supplier during the summer 2019.
