Market engagement for a Day Centre for disabled and isolated Asian women to include home and hospital visits within the London Borough of Redbridge. The Aims and Objectives of the Service are: • To provide a service to women residents that reduces isolation in the community and enhances wellbeing, quality of life and independence; • To refer Service Users to Adult Social Services if they are found to be isolated or at risk at home and in need of further advice, information, support or care; • To provide a variety of activities that provide stimulation and new information in areas like Welfare Benefits, the new Care Act, Individual Budgets, and generally ensuring that Service Users are fully aware of their entitlements; • To regularly communicate with Service Users to ensure that Service activities and developments reflect their need and preferences; • To provide discussions and speakers on subjects that promote health, social care, recreation and well-being; • To raise awareness of the Service in the community – through promotional information, leaflets (which shall include the Redbridge logo) and engagement in relevant local events; • To develop and maintain links with a broad range of other agencies and community organisations in statutory and voluntary sectors, both local and regional or national.
