Tender description

NIE Networks wishes to procure the services of Provision of Experienced Electricians for the Installation, Refurbishment and Maintenance of Sub Station High and Low Voltage Plant / Equipment throughout Northern Ireland. Lot 1 - Transmission This lot includes: The removal of redundant equipment including scrapping of materials via plant workshop. The Installation or Upgrade of new Earthing systems within a Substation Environment. The Installation of External Lighting systems in LIVE operational Substations. The Rewire or Installation from new, AC Systems of Substation Control Rooms and associated buildings. The Rewire or Installation from new DC systems associated with different substation voltage levels. The installation of Standby Generators. The Replacement or Installation of existing High Voltage CT’s. The Replacement or Installation of existing High Voltage VT’s. The Replacement or Installation of existing High Voltage CVT’s. The Replacement of 275kV and 110kV Bushings on HV equipment. The Replacement or installation of 275kV and 110kV Disconnectors. The Replacement of existing earthing transformers with equivalent or similar. The Replacement of existing radiator cooling banks on HV equipment. The replacement of HV Protection systems and associated protection panels The replacement of HV Outdoor Circuit Breakers Complete 275/110kV Tap Changer Refurb. The Installation of new 110kV and 275kV Transformers. The installation of a new 22kV Capacitor Bank. The replacement of HV structures within a LIVE substation. The installation of Surge Arrestors. The installation and removal of HV bus-bars within a LIVE Substation. It is intended that the Contracting Entity will enter into a Framework Agreement with up to three Economic Operator for this Lot (in the form attached at Appendix M of the Tender Documents) with Call-off Contracts allocated on a mini competition award basis, as set out in the Call-off Procedure (in Appendix C of the Tender Documents). Lot 2 - Distribution This lot includes: The Installation of new 33kV Indoor Circuit Breakers. The Installation of new 11kV or 6.6kV Indoor Circuit Breaker Boards. The Installation of new 11kV and 33kV Transformers. The Replacement of a 33kV Outdoor Circuit Breakers to a 33kV Indoor Circuit Breakers. The Replacement or Installation of a Disturbance Recorders. The Rewire or Installation from new, AC Systems of Substation Control Rooms and associated buildings. The Rewire or Installation from new, DC Systems associated with different substation voltage levels. It is intended that the Contracting Entity will enter into a Framework Agreement with up to three Economic Operator for this Lot (in the form attached at Appendix M of the Tender Documents) with Call-off Contracts allocated on a mini competition award basis, as set out in the Call-off Procedure (in Appendix C of the Tender Documents). This lot will include dayworks provision for Experienced and qualified Electrical Contractors to install high voltage substation equipment to substation sites. This lot will include the provision of inspections at 11kV substation sites to include: Security of site (perimeter fencing, walls etc.) Verification of existing plant and equipment to records Recording of maximum demand readings
