Tender description

The Council is tendering for Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) work and other associated works, including hospital discharge and repairs which are carried out through the Staying Put service. Works will be undertaken to various private residential properties in Swale to enable elderly and vulnerable people to stay in their homes. Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) work will primarily consist of shower room conversions/adaptations, external ramping, drainage and other adaptations within the home to enable an elderly or vulnerable person to remain living there. A comprehensive list of works can be found in the Schedule of Rates in the ITT document. To carry out work in client’s home that will either prevent hospital admissions or allow quicker discharge. Works will include for example fitting mop stick rails, grab rails, key safes, smoke alarms, galvanised rails, lowering thresholds, ramping, making safe open plan stairs, turning around doors and making sliding doors, clearing clutter rooms and deep cleaning of dirty properties. Swale Borough Council reserve the right to not award Lot 2.
