Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI)

Tender description

It is intended that a consolidated Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) contract be established with the aim of achieving the following: — delivery of efficient and effective responsive services, — delivery of significant cost savings, — flexibility to meet individual business needs and changing requirements. The proposed areas for contract inclusion are: — provision of comprehensive real-time bus tracking, monitoring and management solution incl control room, — management of services, audio and visual next stop announcements on bus, — integration with other systems including the electronic ticket machine on buses, — comply with RTIG Digital Air Interface proctocol, — timetable adherence, — system alerts, — reporting and playback functions, — real time service department and arrival predictions, — traffic signal priority requests to the Traffic Information and Control Centre — SIRI feed, — voice communications between bus and control room. It is the intention this contract will commence on 1.4.2020. Lot 1: Before embarking on a tender process, Translink wishes to engage with the market place to gather intelligence which will inform the sourcing strategy for this contract and thus, the procurement process. We are seeking to engage with experienced RPTI providers, which are capable of fulfilling all the requirements list above.
