Large Vehicle Grant Scheme (LVGS) for Non-schedule Bus & Coach operators (Leeds Clean Air Zone) round two.

Tender description

Leeds City Council is making available a second funding opportunity for Large Vehicle operators of Non-Schedule Bus & Coach (NSB&C) to submit grant applications for financial support to upgrade non-compliant (below Euro VI diesel) prior to the implementation of the Leeds Clean Air Charging Zone (CAZ) in 2020. Non-compliant vehicles will be charged £50 per day to drive in the CAZ. The grants available are capped at £16,000 per vehicle for large vehicles driving extensively within the CAZ, a maximum of one application can be submitted per company group for a maximum of 10 vehicle upgrades. NB: This competition closes at 12:00 on Thursday 18th July 2019 and late submissions will not be accepted and no retrospective funding is available for vehicles already ordered or purchased.
