The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) Saudi Arabian National Guard Communications Project Team (SANGCOM) supports Her Majesty’s Government commitment to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) by acquiring and supporting modern C4I capabilities for the Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG). The team performs a range of equipment procurement and support functions on behalf of the SANG. The SANGCOM team has offices across KSA and in the UK. Resource may be needed at any of these locations, or remotely within KSA or the UK. SANGCOM will be seeking to contract under UK law while recognising that in order to be effective in delivering the requirement, the successful bidder will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to operate successfully in Saudi Arabia with access to an appropriate commercial licence to operate. Companies should note the need to meet the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030 and UK International Defence Engagement objectives. To best deliver on planning and delivery goals, SANGCOM requires outside resource. The planned procurement will seek an appropriate contractual mechanism to deliver this resource. It is envisaged that the resource required will include, but may not be limited to, the roles with the following skills and experience: — availability management, — accreditation management, — business management, — capacity management, — change and evaluation management, — enterprise architecture, — finance management, — IT architecture, — IT management, — programme, portfolio and project management, — procurement management, — planning, — quality assurance, — release and deployment management, — risk management, — security architecture, — service continuity management, — solutions architecture, — test and evaluation engineering, — travel security coordination. SANGCOM will hold an Industry Event in late July 2019 in Riyadh, KSA to inform and invite feedback on the requirement.
