Tender description
Brighton and Hove City Council (BHCC) and East Sussex County Council (ESCC) are looking to establish new arrangements to support the delivery of our term and reactive maintenance and planned maintenance works. The works that may be included in the scope of any future procurement are: — planned works, — mechanical services planned works, — electrical services planned works, — doors and windows planned works, — roofing planned works, — building planned, term and reactive works, — asbestos removal planned, term and reactive works, — passenger and goods lifts/escalators planned, term and reactive works, — hoist/care equipment term and reactive works, — doors and windows/door entry systems/fire doors/internal/external doors/industrial doors term and reactive works, — mechanical services (including air conditioning) term and reactive works, — integrated mechanical services term and reactive works, — electrical services term and reactive works, — fabric/roofing/building lots service and maintenance of fire extinguishers, alarms and systems. The Councils wish to undertake market engagement to understand the following and inform future delivery and any procurement activity: 1) Current market interest and capacity; 2) Factors affecting successful delivery; 3) Appropriate procurement models and structures; 4) Value for money and commercial considerations; 5) Social value inc. employment and environmental considerations. The main scope of the contracts is for works to our corporate buildings and schools. Subject to market engagement and further strategic planning this procurement may be divided into Lots. Details on how to engage with the Councils are included in Section VI): Complementary information. This is not a call for competition a separate Contract Notice will be published when a procurement procedure commences. The information given in this notice is only demonstrative of current arrangements and provided in order for interested organisations to understand the potential scope. The Councils make no guarantee that any or all of the services and scope detailed in the notice will be included in the same format in any future procurement.
