Tender description

Leicester City Council invites Tenders for the provision of an ‘out of hours’ burial administration service. Overview of Requirement The purpose of the contract is to provide an out-of-hours burial administration service when the Authority is unable to do so. Summary of the service to be provided by the Service Supplier: • take bookings for burials from Funeral Arrangers, funeral directors, individuals or organisations outside of the Authority’s normal administration times; • ensure that all relevant Notice of Burial application forms are completed accurately prior to interment; • ensure all relevant statutory paperwork, Registrar’s Certificate for Disposal or Coroner’s Order for Burial, has been completed and received prior to interment; • liaise with the Authority’s on call cemetery staff to confirm date and time of burial; • ensure all relevant and statutory paperwork is passed to the cemetery staff for checking prior to interment; • provide advice to Funeral Arrangers, funeral directors, individuals or organisations about the Authority’s cemetery fees, grave options and cemetery regulations.
