Tender description

Northwards Housing is a not for profit arm’s length management organisation that is responsible for managing 13 000 homes in the areas of North Manchester. Northwards Housing has invested in renewable energy by installing solar panel kits in approximately 1 000 houses as well as 21 blocks of flats and 2 offices. Northwards Housing now intend to procure and award a contract for the maintenance and repair of solar panels and associated equipment across its housing stock. The requirement is for the delivery of a responsive repair service for solar panels and associated equipment. The appointed contractor will be required to liaise not only with Northwards Housing but also with equipment manufacturers and other contractors appointed by Northwards Housing. In addition to the repair service there is a requirement to develop and undertake a program of preventative maintenance checks on all equipment. Northwards Housing now intend to procure and award a contract for the maintenance and repair of solar panels and associated equipment across its housing stock. The requirements will be for the delivery of a responsive repair service for solar panels and associated equipment. The appointed contractor will be required to liaise not only with Northwards Housing but also with equipment manufacturers and other contractors appointed by Northwards Housing. In addition to the repair service there is a requirement to develop and undertake a program of preventative maintenance checks on all equipment. Attention is drawn to the recruitment requirements within this contract, the details of which are set out within Article 14 of Document D (Schedule of Amendments to JCT Measured Term Contract 2016). The contract will be in place for an initial term of 3 years with the option to extend for 2 further periods of 1 year each.
