Tender description

The Authority intends to launch a tender which seeks to appoint a contractor to supply a complete system of training, revalidation and centralised records for veterinarians, technicians and paraprofessionals delivering Government-related veterinary, veterinary-related or other public health functions. A contractor will be required to provide an accredited certificate of competence which is held and paid for by the individual completing the training. It will be earned through accredited training and assessment and maintained by periodic revalidation. It should be noted that the contractor will be expected to recover its fees for providing the training from the individual completing the training and not from the Authority (i.e. a concession contract). The training will also be used by Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) staff for APHA business use where required where recovery of any agreed fees will be through the Authority not directly with the individual vets. A supplier day will be held on 10.7.2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Birmingham (venue to be confirmed). The purpose of the supplier day is to provide a forum for potential suppliers of the service to gain a broad understanding of future training requirements. It will also provide an opportunity to share and gain feedback which may be used to shape and refine the proposition before any formal procurement commences. Please note that in order to manage numbers, only two persons from any one organisation may attend the supplier day. All those organisations wishing to attend the supplier day should register on Bravo and respond to the questions provided in the dummy Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) under project 26364 on or before Wednesday 3rd July.
