The Connecting Devon & Somerset Programme are embarking on a soft market testing exercise that seeks input from the market to establish the most attractive way of packaging and scoping a potential future extension of NGA broadband & gigabit access. We are seeking to invite suitable providers to attend a short meeting at Devon County Council for an informal exchange of ideas. The Programme is seeking to test the feasibility and any appropriate combination of several approaches. These include potential open procurement options applying public subsidy, community-led solutions, stimulating demand and connecting public buildings and appropriate commercial models. We are keen to learn about the market’s capacity and capability to deliver these approaches and the maturity of the market to compete for these options.
