Tender description

Award of a 3-year contract with the option to extend by up to 2 periods of 12 months (3+1+1). The service will provide a non-emergency patient transport service for the dedicated use by the Trust’s Assessment Suite based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne. The service will provide transportation of patients between Trust sites, other NHS or health care facilities or hospital discharges to patient’s homes or community setting. The service will require one ambulance to be available Monday to Sunday (including all public and bank holidays) from 10:00 to 22:00. An additional ambulance may be required to support winter pressures from 1 December to 31 March, Monday to Friday (including all public and bank holidays).
